Raynbow was launched in April 2005.

 

Raynbow is a Lebanese organisation whose goal is to make available to the LGBT Arab community items and products that no other organisation or business dare or is willing to invest in. Raynbow's profit all goes to raise funds to empower LGBT right movements in the arab world. Raynbow's Profit from all HELEM items in HELEM section goes 100% to Helem.

 

In Sept 2005 Raynbow.org called the Arab, (especially Lebanese), community for a hunk photo compitition... The 12 winning photos were to be featured in Raynbow's "lebanese HUNKS 2006 Calendar". The deadline was Oct 21st and this was extended to Nov 18 due toheavy participation and members requests. All of the "calender boys" are Lebanese (one is half Iraqi), and the photographs were all taking in Lebanon.

 

The pictures were chosen by the founder of raynbow the designer and the marketing coordinator.

 

The calendar was made available for purchase online Nov 29. is of great success, people are buying from all around the globe. Congratulations to the winners and a big thank for their valued contribution to Raynbow.

The calendar is one of a series of projects that Raynbow is implementing to involve the LGBT community in community work and to raise funds and to translate our feeling and thoughts via popular items such as t-shirts, mugs, wall hangings, etc.  The Lebanon design written in Arabic and beneath it LEBANON written in rainbow color as well as the HABIBI written in ARABIC design and colored in Rainbow are best sellers.  The Arab LGBT community has long waited for the opportunity to scream out that we are here - and now we are doing it. 

 

IThere was heavy participation which only tells a little about how fast Raynbow, the first Gay-friendly Arab and Lebanese online store, is spreading to the hearts of Arab LGBT
