The Israeli-Palestinian conflict

A tourist cannot plan a trip to Israel without having the subject of security cross his/her mind.  Here at GME, we have tried to present an article based purely on tourism, without involving any political issues.  The sites located on the West Bank of the Jordan River will be presented in our chapter on tourism in Palestine. No one can tell you where it is safe to travel.   Israel, on the whole, is a very safe country. As opposed to many cities in Europe or the Americas, one can walk the streets in Israel without fear of robbery.  The major security problem is due to this seemingly never ending conflict.  You may want to avoid taking public buses (there are small vans called sheruts that run the same routes as the public buses).  Besides that, just enjoy and use your common sense and enjoy your visit to an amazing country.
