Tourism To Syria |
|
Syria!
Along with Iraq, considered to be the cradle of
civilization. A small country packed with monuments, ancient
antiquities, archaeological sites, mosques, churches, synagogues,
and the famous dead cities in the north that call out the glorious
history of ancient nations.
Syria has been a meeting point between eastern and
western civilizations. Seacoasts, forests, mountains, valleys – all
easily reachable. To the good luck of the tourist, Syria is still
one of those well kept secrets with an abundance of beautiful and
fascinating sites. Foreign visitors are treated with warm
hospitality and friendliness.

Passport
information: |
|
It's
taken a while, but, like many other countries that
were previously not easily accessable to foreign visitors, (or at
least made visiting difficult), Syria has finally realized both
the monetary and the public relations value of tourism.
Therefore, they have relaxed their requirements for obtaining a
tourist visa to Syria.
Any
tourist from the U.S., Canada, and most European countries can
obtain a visa to Syria at the border . If you are not sure if
your nationality applies, contact us and we will check for you.
There are simply two conditions for obtaining the visa:
1. You
must have made hotel arrangements in Syria in advance and have a
voucher from a Syrian travel agent in hand (GME TOURISM and any
travel agency can arrange this for you)
2. If
there is any evidence in your passport that you have visited
Israel, you will be denied a visa to Syria. This means that you
cannot have an Israeli stamp in your passport, and you cannot
have any Jordanian or Egyptian stamps that indicate that you
crossed overland from Israel into those respective countries
(Sheik Hussein, Arava, Taba, Rafah)
One more
detail.....the cost of the visa is USD100.00
